Offenburg is a medium sized city in the Black Forest.  It is famous for its "Elwedritsches" (the European cousin of the Pennsylvanian Snipe and Texan Jackalopes ) and its Offenburger Witches - Fastnachts characters in very distinctively carved wooden masks.
